Are you aware of your own unique talents?

One of my best friends is a brilliant black and white photographer. When we got together for lunch recently, my photographer friend described the way she can glance at something and instantly see, in her mind's eye, the scene as a b/w photo.

She just takes in the overall scene, “frames” the best possible pictures, then automatically selects the one that will produce the finest photograph. It’s amazing to see her do this. It seems totally instantaneous and effortless. She just “sees it.”

Most photographers concentrate on the technical aspects of their art: The “f stop” setting, the light, the angle of the sun, and so on. While all of this is obviously important, my friend seems to just magically “know” without analyzing.

Another friend of mine down in California has an amazing musical ability. He can hear a song once, and sit down with his guitar and play it perfectly.

Yet another woman I know is a truly remarkable gardener – she created a virtual paradise in what was once a chicken yard. Her friends are now hiring her to design their ponds and gardens!

These people all say the same thing about their remarkable talents: “It’s so easy, it just seems normal.”

It seems to me that every one of us has a natural talent. But many of us share a common mistake: It’s so easy, we tend to undervalue it, assuming anyone could do what we do so well.

Do you tend to undervalue your own natural talents? We each have totally unique natural talents – just as we have totally unique fingerprints.

Your Next
Goal in 5 Minutes

Here's a way to program your mind so that your goals come to you effortlessly.

STEP ONE: THE MAGIC OF THINKING SMALL
Select a goal just beyond your comfort level. Many motivational teachers urge you go for goals ten times bigger than anything you've ever accomplished. This works well for people who are already confident in their power to manifest, but for anyone who has not had much success using mind power, thinking outrageously big can be a disaster.

Pick a goal which is reasonable and can be accomplished within a few months. If you want more money in your life, instead of visualizing $250,000 a year, start with a goal of increasing your income or sales by 10 percent a month.

After you reach that first goal you can step up to the next goal, slowly building a better life in the process.

STEP TWO: DECLARE YOUR INTENT
Each morning write down your goal. A good format is a short sentence beginning with "I am now attracting...", "I am now creating...", "I will now..." or "I now intend...

Create your own wording. The important thing is that when you say your goal, your emotional state agrees with the goal statement. For example, the reason an affirmation such as "I am now exercising every day" doesn't work is because if you are not exercising every day, you immediately feel the lie when you say it.

However, a statement which begins "I now intend..." is true (at least while you are saying it), and holds no contradiction in your emotions.

STEP THREE: CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESS
After writing your goal, mentally place yourself in the future to a day where your goal has been accomplished. Feel the excitement you will feel knowing you have reached your goal.

Act as if your goal has been reached, and FEEL the emotions you will feel when you actually reach your goal. Just bask in positive emotion for a minute or two.

STEP FOUR: GET HELP FROM YOUR FUTURE SELF
Now, while you are enjoying that feeling, ask yourself what single action you can take today to bring your goal to you faster.

The "future you" who has accomplished your goal knows what steps need to be taken. From this vantage point, you can ask yourself what is the next most practical action you can take.

When you get the answer, write it down and take that action at some point during the day. Taking action, no matter how small, is the fastest and surest way of convincing your subconscious mind that you're serious.

STEP FIVE: BE CONSISTENT
Work on only one goal at a time. Don't change goals unless you decide you no longer want the one you started with. If you no longer want the goal, choose a new one and start again. But if you DO want your original, don't stop until you have it.

STEP SIX: TURBO CHARGE YOUR RESULTS

In the end, getting what you want comes down to actively becoming the person your goal belongs to. Certain actions and attitudes actually force the Law of Attraction to work in your life. Begin today to apply this to => Put this to work in YOUR life!

Many folks think that working hard and fast is the most efficient way to get things done. So... it may come as little surprise to learn that you remember less when you're stressed out.

Yale Medical School researchers have confirmed that during stressful situations we have literally NO control over a brain enzyme called protein kinase C (PKC). And PKC affects our brain’s prefrontal cortex – the part of the brain responsible for short-term memory.

The researchers claim this is likely the cause of the impulsiveness and impaired judgment that goes along with stress. The study leader Dr. Amy Arnsten says: “The ability to concentrate (also) seems to be impaired when exposed to even mild stress.”
