My Personal Quest
for a REAL Answer

Hello,

Dr Jill here with a very REAL personal story!

I don't know about you, but today's financial crisis has been very unkind to me. Actually, it has been a very painful "kick in the shins." Like a lot of folks, my private retirement fund will likely never recover, and I had to sell some property at a very painful loss.

I have spent the last few months asking myself, "What do do." One evening as was looking through my family scrapbook I came across a striking photo of my maternal grandfather.

I thought of the family history of how my grandparent's savings and investments were totally wiped out at the start of the Great Depression. But luckily... they owned the house they lived in and had a large garden. Plus my Grannie was great at preserving food, and Gramps was a skilled hunter with a great Cocker Spaniel bird dog -- Bonnie.

They managed to weather the Great Depression. BUT what's remarkable is that Gramps brought them out the other side very well off indeed!

A question suddenly flashed into my mind -- COULD THIS BE A POSSIBLE ANSWER TO MY CURRENT SITUATION???

I dove into this like crazy. My research finally paid off. I felt I just might had discovered a way to do the same thing my Grandfather had done!

BUT was it real? I began to test the answer 7 weeks ago, and my early results are honestly amazing me.

I'm excited! But this is VERY personal and confidential to me. So... I will ONLY be sharing my results with our trusted Quantum-Self customers and LandOnYourFeet ezine subscribers who tell me they want to know!

Taking Action

You've probably had the experience at one time or another of feeling "stuck" in your life, and feeling uncertain of what to do!

How can you move forward in life when you feel unclear about the next step you need to take? Admittedly, such a lack of clarity can cause some pretty extreme stress!

It's difficult to move forward if you don't have clarity, since clarity of purpose often controls your supply of life energy.

Knowing what you want generates the energy to pursue it! While not knowing drains your energy.

So what can you do if you lack clarity? What are your options?

If you're afraid of making the wrong choice, you can wait and hope for clarity. Or you can try to think your options through in your own mind.

But the truth is, you'll never really "figure life out." In terms of big "life-questions" -- life has a way of just resolving itself, with or without our conscious intervention or so-called decision-making!

And even when we think we've got everything all "figured out," life will seldom deliver a perfect replica of our mental picture. You have already discovered tht for yourself!

One good way to conquer uncomfortable indecision is to simply make a choice from among your "unknowns."

Whether or not you feel certain your choice is the "right" choice -- just take a small step in what seems to be the "best" direction, in spite of your doubt or confusion.

There is great power in action. Movement in any direction will break you free from the "cement" of indecision -- and provide new information and experiences.

Action sends ripples of energy and change out into the world. And since life is so totally unpredictable, who knows how your situation will change once you get some "action energy" into motion.

You may even want to think of your life as a novel you're reading. You're only part of the way into the book -- and you really don't know what's going to happen next. How could you know? The book is still being written!

The challenge you face is this: Dare you move forward in the face of uncertainty? Can you "handle" taking action without knowing whether it's the "right" action?

You may feel confused or anxious, and wonder if you're making the "right" decision. But somewhere along in your "life novel" you may discover there was no "right" decision.

Here's what I've learned in my own "roller coaster" version of life: If you find you've stepped onto the "wrong" path, you can always adjust your direction.

And any so-called "mistakes" simply add to your personal wisdom about what doesn't work -- thus taking you closer to discovering what does work!

There is great power in action!

Go for it! Even if you make the wrong choice, at least you'll create some "Powerful Action Energy" and break free of the painful, mind-numbing cement of indecision!

Julie's Favorite
Christmas Cookies

Yummie Orange-Ginger Cookies

These are special holiday cookies my Grandmother used to make -- a favorite old family treat. ENJOY!!!

1 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon (or more) grated orange peel
1-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2-1/2 cups flour

Combine butter, sugar, egg yolk, orange peel, ginger, vanilla and salt -- mix well.

Stir in flour to form a dough.

Fill cookie press with dough. Press into desired shapes on ungreased cookie sheets.

Decorate, if desired.

Bake in a preheated 400F oven for 10 minutes --until set, but not brown.

Makes about 5 dozen yummie delights!

The Power of a Thought

A recent professional TelMed meeting in San Diego closed with interesting personal stories about the power of the human mind to help the body endure, or reach physical achievements.

Kenneth Kamler, a doctor who has climbed Mount Everest six times, told a harrowing story of a failed ascent in 1996 that later became the subject of the best-selling book by Jon Krakauer, Into Thin Air.

A surprise windstorm made escape impossible for several climbers stranded near the peak. Kamler, the only doctor in the group, told of a man, Beck Weathers, who had fallen alone in the snow during his summit attempt.

Buck laid in the snow alive and unable to move, for more than a day, all the while hearing other climbers pass him and remark, “Leave him. He’s obviously dead.”

However, as Weathers lay there thinking of his family, he finally managed to summon the will to struggle up onto his feet, and climb all the way down to the camp.

He arrived at the camp tent severely frostbitten, his hands ice-burned to a startling white, and his cheeks black with patches of dead tissue. But he survived!

Dr. Kamler showed scans of what the climber’s brain might have looked like in areas associated with the seat of will, such as the anterior cingulated gyrus.

Dr. Kamler explained this is the part of our brain we use to summon the will to stand in the face of great challenges and succeed!
